PROFIL D’UN JEUNE DANSEUR : BYAMANA BENJAMIN

BYAMANA Benjamin est né le 6 Mai 1996 à Goma dans la province du Nord Kivu à l’Est de la RDC. Il a fait ses études primaires à l’école primaire d’application de l’institut de Goma EPAIGO, actuellement il poursuit ses études secondaires en techniques sociale faute de manque d’école de danse professionnelle.

BYAMANA Benjamin is born on the 6th of May 1996 in Goma, in the province of North Kivu in the East of DRC. After having been studying at the Institut of Goma EPAIGO’s primary school, he followed his secondary studies in a technical high school because of a lack of professional dancing schools near his living area.

Benjamin a commencé la danse en 2009 à l’âge de 15ans sans savoir vraiment ce qu’il faisait car il s’entrainait seul chez lui à faire quelques pas de danse. S’habituant à aller assister à des  concourt de danse qui s’organisait au cercle sportif de Goma, la curiosité le poussa à intégrer un groupe de danse et Benjamin réalise ses premiers pas  au sein du « THE PIRATE DANCE », il évoluât pendant trois mois.

 

En 2011 il découvre  à l’institut Mont Goma, ou il faisait ses études secondaires, dans une manifestation culturelle un danseur qu’il avait bien apprécié et qui se nommait CHRINO KAMBALE Christian, Benjamin sollicita Chrino pour faciliter  son intégration au sein du groupe où lui dansait le RINHA CREW « REVOLUTION INNOVATION AND HABILITY CREW ».

In 2011, he met a dancer called CHRINO KAMBALE during a cultural manifestation at the Mont Goma’s Institut. Chrino really liked Benjamin and integrated him in his dancing group the “Rihna Crew”.

 

Vu le sérieux avec le quel les danseurs de Rinha Crew travaillaient, Benjamin s’intégra et s’impliqua aussi avec courage, et là il rencontra six autres danseurs talentueux comme Chrino dont Faraja, Pascal, Elie, Yves,babu et un homonyme à lui qui se prénommait aussi Benjamin.

Benjamin really got involved into this group in which he met up six others talented dancers  like Chrino whose name are Faraja,Pascal,Elie,Yves, Babu and another Benjamin.

 

Chrino et faraja se charge a plus de sa formation et de son intégration et Benjamin monta sur scène pour la première fois avec le Rinha Crew dans une journée culturelle organisée par l’institut Mwanga et là la peur d’être monté pour la première fois sur scène s’était mélangé à un sentiment de joie de voir que petit à petit son rêve de devenir un vrai danseur devenait réalité.

Chrino and Faraj trained him progressively and then happened the day during which Benjamin got on the stage for the first time with the Rinha Crew during a cultural event organized by the Mwanga Institut. At this time, Benjamin experienced the fear or being in the spotlight mixed up to a feeling of joy because he became aware that his dream of being a professional dancer was becoming true.

 

 

 

Benjamin profitait toujours des séances de répétition pour renforcer sa formation mais aussi en visualisant quelques vidéo de danseurs américains sur internet.

Benjamin got extremely involved during the training sessions with his crew in order to strengthen his skills and used to watch videos of American dancers very often.

 

 

Vu son talent et son amour de la danse son intégration fut beaucoup plus facile qu’on l’aurait été imaginé, et avec le Rinha Crew Benjamin a participé à plusieurs compétitions et spectacle de danse; Il  a participé avec son groupe au « SALAAM KIVU INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL » SKIFF la plus grande manifestation de danse de la ville de Goma où il remporta le trophet de meilleur groupe de danse de la ville à deux reprise en 20012 et 2013. Il a aussi participé à d’autres concourt de danse organisé dans la ville de Goma comme « MABINA FARAFARA »  à deux reprise,  à un concourt organisé par UN JOUR NOUVEAUX » qu’il remporta d’ailleurs,  Benjamin et son groupe ont été présent aux deux édition du festival AMANI la plus grande manifestation  culturelle de a province du Nord Kivu organisé par le foyer culturel de Goma, il est avec son groupe dans la campagne BACK TO SCHOOL une campagne de l’UNICEF sur la rentré des classes et l’éducation.

In regard to his talent and his passion for dance, his integration was easier than we thought. With the Rinha Crew, Benjamin participated to several competitions and dance shows like « SALAAM KIVU INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL », the biggest dance manifestation of Goma where he won the best dance crew award of Goma twice in 2012 and 2013. He also participated to other competitions in
Goma like « MABINA FARAFARA » twice, and to another one organised by « UN JOUR NOUVEAU» that he won too.  Benjamin and his crew were present at the AMANI Festival twice, the biggest province’s cultural manifestation in North Kivu organised by the Cultural Centre of Goma. His group and him have also been involved in the UNICEF campaign « BACK TO SCHOOL » around the theme of return to school and education.

 

 

 

En dehors des frontière de son pays la RDC, Benjamin a passé trois mois à Kampala en Ouganda ou il a encore renforcé sa danse et participé tous le mercredi et samedi a des spectacles de danse au SHARING, il  a aussi participé au SAKATA DANCE à Dar-es-Salam en Tanzanie.

Out of the borders of the DRC, Benjamin spent three months in Kampala, Uganda where he improved his dancing skills and participated every Wednesday and Saturday to several dance shows at the “SHARING”. He also participated to SAKATA DANCE in DAR-Ed-Salam, Tanzania.

 

 

Ensuite il est rentré en RDC et avec le Rinha Crew ils ont été à Kigali au Rwanda ou ils ont participé à l’EANT FESTIVAL l’East Africa Night of Tolerance Festival.

Subsequently, he came back to DRC and then went to Kigali in Rwanda with his crew where he participated to the EAST AFRICAN NIGHT OF TOLERANCE FESTIVAL.

 

 

Aujourd’hui Byamana Benjamin est formateur comme tout ses ami de Rinha Crew dans le projet « VIJANA UP » un projet de ses jeunes qui consiste à former les enfants non accompagné en danse.

Today, Byamana Benjamin is a professional dancer like all the members of the Rinha Crew. He is working for « VIJANA UP », a project consisting in training children who have a natural talent

Benjamin rêve  devenir un très grand danseur dans l’avenir, créer une école de danse, faire le tour de plusieurs pays du monde à partir de la danse bref, faire sa vie autour de la danse.

In the future, Benjamin is dreaming about becoming a famous dancer, creating his own dance school, and going on a tour in the whole world. In short, building his life around dance.

 

 

Il s’’inspire souvent par ses documentations, en voyant les grands danseurs de ce monde, il apprécie son ami Chrino Kambale Christian et d’autres danseurs du monde qu’il voit dans des vidéos sur l’internet.

He usually gets his inspiration from internationally-known dancers. He really likes his friend Chrino Kambale and other dancers very famous that he is used to watch on the internet.

 

 Son style en danse il fait le « HIP POP, B-BOYING, LE POPING, LA CHOREGRAPHIE et le HOUSE DANCE », il désir approfondir sa connaissance en dance contemporaine, le Ballet et le classic dance. 

Concerning his style, Benjamin is able to dance several styles like Hip-Hop, Popping and House-Dance but he is keen to improve his knowledge of the Contemporary, Ballet and Classic Dance.
